MMCT is enveloped by a serene ambience that helps foster intellectual growth. The classrooms are spacious and well furnished and spread over a floor area of more than 50,000 sq.ft. All learning rooms are facilitated with modern teaching aids such as LCD projectors.
State-of-the-art laboratories for Modern Physics, Chemistry, Thermal, Fluid Mechanics, Strength of Material, Electrical and Electronics, and Refrigeration have been instituted within the college premises. The facilities are complemented by basic engineering skill and workshops such as Bench Fitting Shop, Lathe Workshop, Special Machine Shop and Welding Workshop with an area of more than 15,000 sq.ft.This apart, the colleges also has marine workshops with modern marine equipment and AUX machinery for practical and professional training.The computer laboratory is equipped with the latest software’s to keep the cadets updated on the current industry trends.
The library spans an area of 5000 sq.ft is stocked with a wide collection of marine and engineering books, journals and e-magazines. Video cassettes and CDs offer students insights into the latest happenings in Marine Engineering and Ship operations.
MMCT is a completely residential campus, offering the best stay to the inmates. The environment is specifically designed to meet requirements of students. The college has elegantly built Girls’ and Boys’ hostels, with ample spacious rooms with attached bathrooms on a twin sharing basis. The hostels are located within the college campus. Add comfort to the convenience to the residents and that has been the prime consideration of the construction. The hostel is built to suit the student’s needs with double occupancy with attached bath, round the clock hot water, internet connections, laundry, veg & no veg mess, Information centre (TV / Newspaper).
