Mangalore Marine College and Technology arranged an Industrial Visit for all the First Year Student to Lamina Foundry Limited in the guidance of Prof. Nagraj. As they reached at the premises of the foundry a warm welcome speech was given by the authorised person and explain in short about their work and production. Before entering in the Foundry, he explains about Safeties which have to follow and also DO’s and DONT’s after entering inside to the students. During the visit students were practically exposed to various stages of foundry processes such as: Pattern & core making, Furnace and Pouring process, Mould making process using squeezing machines, Fettling and Inspection of castings.
