This course is approved by AICTE and Affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum, Karnataka. These students will be eligible for higher education and off-shore jobs only in Marine industries.
Those who want to get the jobs on ships are instructed to do additional DIRECTORATE GENERAL OF SHIPPING approved Value added Courses at additional Cost. Only these students will be issued Indian CDC, INDOS, STCW, Class IV – Part A exemption etc., which is mandatory for joining the Ships.
10+2 with PCM 60% aggregate marks from recognised Boards/Universities. Minimum 50% marks in English at 10+2 or 10th level is a must. Fluency in written and spoken English.

Medical Fitness for DGS value added course:
Medically fit with eyesight 6/6, with or without external aids. Maximum power permitted ± 2.5. No colour blindness. All candidates have to pass the complete medical examination and mandatory tests prior to joining. MMCT has a panel of qualified doctors and professional laboratories specialising in this regard.
Those wishes to join through Govt. Quota must clear the KEA-CET and COMED-K. After counseling based on the merit in KEA-CET and COMED-K, the KEA and COMED-K will allocate the institute.
For Management & Vacant Seats After KEA and COMED-K Admissions:
MMCT undertakes Aptitude, IQ, Reasoning and Psychometric tests followed by an interview. The final selection and admissions are subject to the discretion of MMCT.
